Fragment Yields Calculated in a Time-Dependent Microscopic Theory of Fission

چکیده
Pre-neutron fragment-yield distributions are calculated for the U(n, f) and Pu(n, f) reactions using a time-dependent fully microscopic approach. These yields are calculated as a function of incident neutron energy from thermal to 5 MeV. We show that our calculations are in good agreement with experimental results, and competitive in accuracy with more phenomenological approaches. Further improvements to future calculations of these yields are discussed.

FISSION FRAGMENT ANGULAR ANISOTROPIES AND INERTIA PARAMETERS
An analysis of selected fission fragment angular distributions from helium-ion induced fission is made using an exact theoretical expression. Theoretical anisotropies obtained with the transition state model are compared with their corresponding values deduced from the statistical scission model. The nuclear moment of inertia extracted from the model calculations are compared with their est...

A combined dynamical and statistical model for fission was employed in our calculation. There is no doubt that a Langevin description plus a Monte Carlo treatment of the evaporation processes provide the most adequate dynamical description. In this paper, we would consider a strongly shaped dependent friction force and we use the numerical method rather than the analytical one. The objective o...

We have calculated the fission fragment angular anisotropy for 16O + 232Th,12C + 236U , 11B + 237 Np , 14 N + 232 Th , 11B + 235U , 12C + 232Th systems with the saddle point statistical model and compared the fission fragment angular anisotropy for these systems. This comparison was done with two methods a) without neutron correction and b) with neutron correction. Also we studied normal and ...

The results of model calculations on nuclide yields produced by fission of excited U nuclei are presented. The calculation combines the modelling of the deexcitation process including the fission competition with the prediction of the nuclide production in the fission of excited U and all daughter nuclei produced in the evaporation cascade. The calculations are relevant for the design of future...

A model based on the macroscopic-microscopic approach for calculating the fission-fragment properties is presented. Using this model, a large set of experimental data measured in lowand high-energy fission can be reproduced using one and same set of model parameters.
